The Dingo Babies'

The Dingo Babies’ sound is focused on tight harmonies and lyrics akin to late night stargazing conversations to create catchy sideways power-pop tunes about inner and outer space. Their style rides the waves of Weezer, Crash Kings, and The Avett Brothers.

They began performing in small local venues and homeless shelters/food kitchens through Berklee's student run service program The Movement. They have continued to stay active in service, raising over $1,000 with their music to benefit the human rights organization Calling All Crows, strongly believing in music as a vehicle for happiness and positive social change.

They have opened for acts such as Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros and Chadwick Stokes (Dispatch, State Radio) at international Boston venues like The Sinclair, Great Scott, Middle East and Pearl Street Nightclub in Northampton.

The Dingos are releasing a kickin self-titled EP this May during their east coast summer tour.

In the meantime, their debut album Breakfast (“The raw emotion of it is obvious… eclectic, interesting, and accessable,”-WMFO) can be heard at www.thedingobabies.com

Soul Box is a band with chemistry.  All the members lock in together effortlessly and that kind of connection draws the audience in and makes them a part of it. Songs are always evolving and changing during every performance,  the band just lets what happens happen.  Drawing from influences of funk, soul, rock, and reggae, Soul Box creates a sound that is simultaneously new and classic.

Jodi Doidge

Jodi Doidge is a creative enterprise, a vocal songbird and a musical maven. Her voice sounds like Dolly Parton and Leslie Feist created a love child. Jodi sings her own lyrics and music in a distinctly unique alt/pop/country style. Singing about love, relationships, transformation and etheric feelings she has the ability to transport you from your seat and into her heart. Jodi has toured extensively throughout British Columbia and Alberta, attracting devoted fans who have been eagerly snapping up copies of her debut EP, Little Love Songs. Jodi recorded her EP with acclaimed Vancouver Producer Winston Hauschild who has also produced Wanting Qu and Hannah Georgas. A standout emerging artist she has most recently been nominated in the top 6 for the *ATB Financial All Albertan Songwriting Contest and has been selected to participate in the Banff Centre’s Source & Inspiration Residency program, taking place during fall 2014. Jodi has a desire to expand, the gumption to follow her heart and the vulnerability in her musical ability to make it happen. She writes about Universal laws and truths in a poetic manner, allowing audiences to enjoy not only the sweet melodies but also absorb her synthesized cosmic wisdom. Currently residing in Banff, Alberta Jodi is a gypsy, often found on self-promoted tours, living out of her vehicle and friend’s guest rooms. She is the real deal: an authentic artist and creative spirit who leaves a wake of light in her trail--follow Jodi on social media and watch her story unfold.

Jorrit Dijkstra Trio

Jorrit Dijkstra - alto saxophone

Nate McBride - acoustic bass

Eric Rosenthal - drums, percussion

The music of saxophonist and composer Jorrit Dijkstra (Eindhoven, Netherlands, 1966) draws from the jazz tradition in spirit and sound, but has crossed stylistic and cultural borders in order to express a strong, evolving personal vision. He spent his formative years in Amsterdam’s vibrant improvisation community playing jazz, free improvisation, and world music. Since moving to the United States in 2002, Dijkstra has deepened his affinity with the experimental forces of American music, while staying in touch with his Dutch musical roots. His recent projects include his quartets BOLT and Matchbox, Music for Reeds and Electronics, the octet Pillow Circles, the large ensemble Bathysphere, and his Solo project with electronics. Dijkstra uses the Lyricon – a vintage electronic wind instrument from the 1970’s – to extend his musical palette into an idiosyncratic mix of cool jazz, free improvisation, and electronic minimalism. As a composer he has received commissions from the North Sea Jazz Festival, the David Kweksilber Big Band, Tetzepi Big Band, Amstel Saxophone Quartet, and The Harvard Jazz Band. Dijkstra has released eighteen CDs as a leader, and has participated in projects ranging from Anthony Braxton’s Ghost Trance and Guus Janssen’s opera Noach to a rare live performance of Texas outsider musician Jandek. He is a co-founder of the independent record label Driff Records, and an Associate Professor at Berklee College of Music.
