Up the Downs

Quincy-based rock band, influenced bearly 70s Stones, Grateful Dead, The Waterboys, Dylan, ....  In addition to covers, Up the Downs plays its own originals.  Up the Downs plays at The Foundation Room at The House of Blues, Daddy's in Hull and Pete's Grille, Malachy's and the Quincy Rock Fest at the Ruth Gordon Amphitheater.  Up the Downs consists of Scott Cunningham on Drums, Chris McCully on bass, Bobby Keys on Keyboard, Brad Bryan on Guitar and Steve Cronin on Lead Vocals and Harmonics. The Midnight Ramblers

The Mid-Night Ramblers are a blend of musical styles, specializing in great classic rock and southern rock covers. Our main musical influences include: The Allman Brothers, Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, The Grateful Dead and Pink Floyd. We also perform hit blues, reggae, dance and funk songs by audience and listener request, and frequently jam creative song transitions.

The Doug MacDonald Band

Doug Macdonald started playing acoustic guitar,writing songs and playing clubs in Boston 2005. 

He was looking for a drummer and Patty Short was between bands. She went to see Doug play and they hit it off, this was 2008. They practiced and started playing clubs around the city for a few years and got a great response. 
Their sound is Indie Rock with 60s overtones.  Late 2011 they started recording "Give Me My Guitar" CD.  It was released in the spring of 2012. “Give Me My Guitar” was played on 39 college radio stations across the east coast. 
The Doug MacDonald Band started to get recognition from Boston music magazines and their fan base started growing. Late 2012 they started on their new CD  "Mr Bones" and it released May 2013. “Mr. Bones” shows how Doug and Patty have matured musically as a duo. “Mr. Bones” was reviewed in the Boston Noise magazine and was awarded CD of the summer 2013 The band plays in clubs in New York City and Massachusetts. There latest Album "Duel Speaker" came out in September 2014 has gotten amazing reviews and air time on College radio.

Quincy Symphony Orchestra

The Quincy Symphony Orchestra is a non-profit organization consisting of amateur and professional musicians and a supportive group of volunteers devoted to bringing symphonic music to the metro-south Boston area.

Some members of the orchestra will be appearing on a porch at PorchFest!

Windology

Windology was born from the combined passion of its members to play and share chamber music with audiences from Boston to Providence to Cape Cod. We aspire to engage audiences both young and old with inspired performances of the classical wind quintet repertoire as well as new works, modern compositions, and transcriptions of classic works for diverse assemblages of instruments.

Boston Bluegrass Kids Jam, led by Alan Kaufman and Friends

Come join us for some old-time fun and tap your feet to the sound of the next generation of rising bluegrass stars!  The Boston Bluegrass Kids Jam is a free monthly jam for kids of all ages and abilities made possible by the generous support of the Boston Bluegrass Union.  The jams are led by Alan Kaufman, author of Beginning Old TIme Fiddle, who also runs a free Old Timey Jam for adults at The Burren every Sunday from 5-8pm.
